As the President of the District A Farmers Institute, President of Island Roots Farmers Market, and Director of Growing Opportunities, Glassen actively works to promote and support craft food systems. He is the owner and operator of Glassen Farms on lease land in Nanaimo. He maintains neglected farm land to restore soil health and biodiversity, while producing nutrient-rich and ethical commodities including chicken, turkey, lamb, pork & beef. Additionally,
