Karl and his family farm and ranch in NW Iowa. They are transitioning their 700 acre farm to regenerative pasture and annual forage crops for their grass fed beef herd. Karl grew up on the farm raising cows with this dad. After attending South Dakota State University, Karl was commissioned into the Air Force. He spent 12 years on active duty flying F-16s. In 2012, Karl and his wife Carissa moved back to the family farm and transitioned from active duty military to the South Dakota Air National Guard. From 2012 until 2023, Karl and Carissa welcomed 6 children while farming, ranching, and military service. Karl retired in 2023 and now gives his time fully to the farm and his family. Karl and Carissa want to glorify God by stewarding his creation and pointing their customers to a relationship with him by selling steakhouse quality beef that is healthy enough to be considered medicine.
