I grew up in an oil town where my parents had a trucking company. My interest was always in agriculture and i spent summers at my grandparents farm. Had the opportunity to start farming my inlaw's land and in January 2000 took Holistic Management course. Started out grazing hogs, chickens, sheep, turkeys, and cow/calf. We sold meat direct after taking a direct marketing course in 2000. Took Ranching For Profit the first time in 2003 and then expanded the custom grazing operation. Grew to renting ~5000ac and grazing 3000 yearlings. Transitioned into ranch management for several years and am now looking to lease a ranch for myself.
