Don’t start grazing too early
This week, I’ve been thinking about this:
Starting grazing too early can set your grass back for the entire year.
It’s tempting when things start to green up. You’re ready to get livestock out there, and it looks like there’s something to graze. But what I’m seeing is that early grazing hits those plants before they’ve had a chance to build energy and really get growing.
Something to try this week:
Wait a little longer than you want to. Let the grass get ahead of you before you turn livestock out.
That one decision can make the rest of your grazing season a lot easier.
On the website, the design has been updated, but still working on the Famous Four Vault. It should be ready by the end of the month.
